Also written: Bélivaux, Beliveau, Bélivos, Bélivo

Family Crest Anthoine Bélliveau is noted in the parish registers of La Chaussée, departement of Vienne, where in the 17th century the d'Aulnay seigneurie was located. The first lineage of Belliveaus in Acadia was found at Port Royal, Beaubassin and Ile Saint-Jean (today Prince Edward Island). Marie Beliveau married Denis Chaisson at Port Royal circa 1664.

A fourth generation Belliveau, Charles, also called "Le Jeune", died in Quebec in 1758 at the age of 62. His brother Pierre, sometimes referred to as "Piô" was born in 1706 and would settle in Memramcook, New Brunswick after the Deportation of 1755.
