Family Crest Pierre Commeaux was registered at Port Royal (today Annapolis Royal) in 1671, he was 75 years old at the time and was a barrel maker by trade. The first Acadian lineage of Comeaus is also found at Port Grand Pré. Francois Commeau was one of the Acadians deported to Champflore (Martinique), where he died on June 21, 1766.
