Jean Baptiste Dion also known as Lyonnais, born in 1680, married in 1713. He will father 13 children. A son Pierre was deported to England, but freed in 1763 and later he settled in St. Malo. Another son Louis Basil was deported to New York in 1755. While a third son, Charles, was imprisoned in Halifax until 1763. He will eventually settle in St. Jacques, Louisiana in 1766. Yet another son, Abel, was deported to Massachusetts circa 1767, later to settle in the Cap de Sable area (Pubnico). |
